Well - I guess it all starts with just one step
So
its a new year and resolutions are flying at great speed left right and centre.
I thought about setting mine - it was going to be to "Lose Weight". This quite
honestly has been my resolution for the last 20 years...so obviously not really
working for me :/
I think that I must have had a 'grown up' moment and realised that such a vague expectation just wasn't going to work. What I have done this year is to make a promise to myself that I will try my best at everything, take on a more positive outlook in things in my life and continue to raise my 2 absolutely gorgeous and talented (not at all biased hehe) children the best I can while hopefully maintaining my sanity. I still would like to lose weight, but I am giving myself mini goals - a few kilo's a month. I think this is more acheiveable and less daunting than saying - I want to lose 30 kgs by December! That right there is scary stuff!!
I made a promise to my son last year to run a mini marathon with him in 2013, and well preparations and training for this quite frankly hasn't even started....I'm so easily excited about these ideas, but so often don't follow through...SO to compete with him is a goal I will reach - and right now I am truly excited and scared about getting started at last.
I guess I should let you know a little about myself - just so you can get a little bit of an understanding where I'm coming from.....

My name is Michelle and I am a 40 year old, happily single
mother of 2 kids and 3 dogs.
I am a Marriage Celebrant (which is just an
absolutley wonderful job to have, just love it!), I have a Wedding & Event
Planning business, and this year am looking to get back into the workforce in a
full time capacity. I haven't been fulltime since my first child was born..15
years ago! So no doubt I'll really feel it - but I'm really looking forward to
actually having money for a change, and not scrimping and missing out on
things.
Also - when I say I have a Wedding & Event Planning business - please don't think that this is by any way sucessful at this stage in time. I'm still waiting for business to come rolling in - at the moment it is just one big money pit - hence why I need to find full time employment!
I am new to this world of blogging - but I think I need to get my thoughts out there - maybe I might find others that can relate to my daily struggles, and successes. We're all in this life together!
I am now going to go and check out a few other blogs - just to actually see what you do! hahaha...yes - I know - should have really done that as 'step one'! meh - live a little I say!
Feel free to introduce yourself - or give me tips!
Look forward to sharing my life with you!
Michelle :)
